Hi guys John Talley here with another quick
tip. Whenever you’re doing an engine rebuild probably one of the most arduous processes
is removing the gasket material from your different engine cases whether they be inner
or outer. You go to try to scrape this off and it doesn’t want to really dig in there…
One of the things I do to make life a lot easier is to spray it down with just some
contact cleaner. And what that does is starts breaking down the glue and the fiber that’s
actually holding the gasket together. Once you’ve done that it’ll just about wipe off.
Gives you a nice clean surface, and that’s what we’re after, isn’t it? So, that’s your
quick tip for the day and we appreciate you watching.
