How to Remove paint from a Prepainted RC Body

In this video I am going to remove the paint
off of this stock RC car body by useing brake parts cleaner. When I Originally purchase this non-chlorinated
brake parts cleaner the purpose of this cleaner was to clean the slipper plates
on my traxxas rustler and 2 wheel slash. this product did a good job cleaning
the parts up. But when I was using this product to clean the parts some of its
spray accidentally fell on the table and the paint was starting to come off of
the table. So from that point on I have to be very careful with this product. After Some time like a year so I had an idea
and I decided to conduct an experiment with this product to see whether I can remove
paint especially white paint and also paints on a stock RC car body. it’s very clear that break fluid does not
work on pre-painted RC car bodies and especially it’s very hard to get white paint
off of these types of bodies. One night I decided to try an experiment by
using this break part cleaner on a stock RC car body on a discontinued RC vehicle
and I tried it and I got results immediately as you see in this photo. The drawback of this break part cleaner it
dries fast and I must use this very quickly. I was unable to remove the rest of
the paint off of this RC car body because it was late at night. so I decide
to wait until morning before I continue any further with this experiment. So when the sun came up I decided to continue
on with this experiment by taking this stock RC car body and the brake parts
cleaner and camera and go outside and shoot some video of this process to show you
that this product works so i will go ahead and show you the video of that. As you see in the video that obviously I neglected
to wear gloves but if you had some issues With your skin I would recommend
you use protection and where some Latex gloves at least been in my case I was
all right. Enough about me as you see in the video that this break part cleaner
is starting to work on this RC car body and its removing a lot of the paint very quickly
but remember the drawback of this break part cleaner is I must use this
very quickly to get as much paint off of this RC stock car body. Unfortunately As I was doing this I did not
realize that I have run out of memory on my SD card in my camera so i will do here
is to finish off this process off camera I believe that I have proven my point
and I will show you the results when I’m done removing the rest of the paint off
of this RC car body. As I was removing the paint off at this RC
stock-car body I had damaged this RC stock-car body.It may be the result of
the material and thickness of this RC car body is usually the case in most stock
RC car bodies or and maybe the result of my removing the paint off of this
RC car body or both. Otherwise I was able to get all of the paint off of
this RC stock-car body as you see in the photos. So what i am going to do now is go and ahead
and remove some of the decals off of this RC car body and clean it up as
much as I can and repair some of the damage caused by the removal of the original
paint off of this stock RC car body. then go out and buy some paint and
paint this RC car body and give it a new color. When I’m done I will show
you the photos of that. As you see in the photos I did the best I
could with this RC car body and it looks pretty so-and-so decent. But if I knew
then what I know now I would have taped up the windows before using the brake
cleaner to remove the paint off of this RC stock-car body so the windows would
not look like there were fog up. At this point I am done with this how-to video
that concludes this video the end for now.
